There are hundreds of contingenciescontinuallj arising to prevent the best seeds always givingsatisfaction, such as sowing too deep, too shallow, iii too wetor too dry soil; insects of all descriptions destroying theplants as soon as or before they appear; wet weather, coldweather, frosts, chemical chautjes in the seeds induced bytemperature, etc. For the above reasons it is impracticableto guarantee seeds under all circumstances.
