Description
English: Half-timbered, side entrance barn in Sedlec (Litoměřice District), Czech Republic. The barn doors are "harr hung", that is they swing on the outside stiles rather than on hinges. The small door within the barn doors are hung with hand made strap hinges on pintles. The barn has "interrupted sills", the posts go down to the foundation rather than landing on a sill beam and the sills fit between the posts. The wattle and daub type infill on the right side appears original. The brick infill on the left was probably added after the sill rotted away. The roofing material appears to be slate.
This photograph was taken within the scope of the third year of the 'Czech Municipalities Photographs' grant.
