Description

Section of c. 1953 Schaffmann map of Berlin, Potsdamer Platz area, showing the W1, W8, W66 and W9 post offices and the zonal boundary between East and West Berlin. The former Conzert Haus Clou was located in the angle of Zimmer and Mauerstrasse, below the Bethlehem Church.

The red [secton] and purple [Bezirk] lines coincide. The pink area is Bezirk Mitte. The Haus Vaterland cinema and restaurants was at the apex of Koethener- and Stresemannstrasse

On the left the Lenne triangle which was bought by the FRG in 1988.
