English:

The Smith Tower, located in 506 2nd Ave., is the oldest skyscraper in Seattle and contains 38 floors. It is named after its builder, firearm and typewriter magnate Lyman Cornelius Smith. Construction began in 1910 and was completed in 1914.

Shows the Alaska Building and the New York Block on 2nd Ave.

Written on verso: 2nd Ave. near Cherry, ca. 1913.
