Italiano: "Il ritratto, risalente alla seconda metà del secolo XVIII, è analogo ad altri ritratti di nobiluomini prodotti dalla bottega fanese di Sebastiano Ceccarini. Constatata la buona qualità del dipinto, va tenuto presente che il personaggio effigiato stringe con la mano destra una verga-scettro, mentre sullo sfondo, su un panno rosso, campeggia una corona. La fascia e il collare indossati dall’ignoto nobiluomo (?) con tanto di croci cavalleresche applicate fa ipotizzare che si tratti del ritratto di un sovrano o di un aspirante ad un trono." |
