Summary
[edit]DescriptionSeattle and the Orient p145.jpg |
Page 145 of brochure Seattle and the Orient (1900). This page includes text plus a pair of photos collectively captioned "The Schwabacher Hardware Co." The pictures are individually captioned "Exterior Schwabacher Hardware Co." (upper left) and "Interior Schwabacher Hardware Co." (lower right). The sign on the building says "The Schwabacher / Hardware Co. / Dealers in heavy and shelf hardware. / Us [the rest is obscured by the corner building]". The corner building was the Scandinavian American Bank and has a visible sign over the ground floor to that effect. A sign onthe building to the right indicates that it is part of the Schwabacher Hardware Co. The building still survives as of 2007, although the company is long gone. The corner building now has another storey. An image similar to the exterior photo can be seen at Image:Seattle - Scandinavian American Bank - 1900.jpg. |

Other versions | Image:Seattle_and_the_Orient_p145.jpg is the full page. The pictures are, respectively, Image:Seattle - Schwabacher Hardware - 1900.jpg and Image:Seattle - Schwabacher Hardware interior - 1900.jpg. Because they overlap in the original layout, I've blurred the overlap area in the latter. |
