Summary
[edit]DescriptionSeattle - Wintonia detail 02A.jpg |
Detail, the Wintonia Apartments, originally Wintonia Hotel, commonly "The Wintonia", 1431 Minor Ave, Seattle, Washington, USA. The building has city landmark status. It is now transitional housing for individuals coming from emergency housing and shelter programs or directly from the streets. Of its 90 units, 45 are reserved for previously homeless men and women who are disabled by chronic alcoholism. It stands as a reasonably unusual program, in that it works with alcoholics without demanding sobriety as a first step. The building is basically on the border between Capitol Hill and First Hill. |
