Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Second Avenue looking north from below Yesler Way, Seattle, Washington, 1916. At near right is the Smith Tower at the corner of Second and Yesler. At near left is the Metropole Building. Both still stand as of 2008.

Past the Metropole Building is the Hotel Seattle (demolished in 1961, replaced by the "sinking ship parking lot"), and the Butler Hotel, the lower two stories of which survive. The tall building on that side is the Hoge Building, which also survives, as do the Collins Block (slightly past the Smith Tower) and the Alaska Building (the tall building on the right).
