English: Repaving Third Avenue near Marion Street, Seattle, Washington, 1943. This is looking roughly south. You can see the still-extant (as of 2018) Dexter Horton Building and, behind that, Smith Tower; also just in front of the Dexter Horton Building, 215 Columbia Street. The other buildings are gone, but include the Shorey Book Store (in the New Richelieu Hotel) and Raymer's Books (in the Traders Building). |
