This is an image of a building or other location within the Pioneer Square-Skid Road Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The district has been successively enlarged, and hence has multiple NRHP IDs: 70000086, 78000341, and 88000739

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Mottman Building, (originally known as Norris Safe Building), 307 3rd Ave. S., Pioneer Square neighborhood, Seattle, Washington, USA and to its right the now-abandoned Cannery Building, 213 S. Main St. (which has also been known by many other names). The Mottman building dates from 1906 and the Cannery Building from 1900, but the angled façades only date from 1928–29, when Second Avenue Extension cut through the neighborhood. You can easily see a remnant of when the Cannery Building had two more floors (it was also sliced, and then lost its upper floors after the 1949 Earthquake). See Summary for 307 3rd AVE / Parcel ID 5247800875, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, for more information about the Mottman Building (same building even though they omit "S" from the address), and Summary for 213 S Main ST S / Parcel ID 5247800880, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods for the Cannery Building.
