Description
English: Jackson Square Building (built 1902), also known as Seattle Transfer Company / Scientific Supplies, 123 S Jackson Street in the Pioneer Square neighborhood, Seattle, Washington. The upper floor is now condominium apartments; the lower floor has been home in recent decades to a succession of art galleries. For a time it was home to the Foster White Gallery. As of November 2007, part of it houses Gallery I|M|A. See Summary for 123 S Jackson ST S / Parcel ID 524780027, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, for more detail.
Old sign near top of the F.X. McRory Building behind says "Estab. 1882 / Stew[art?] Hole[]es Dr[ug?] Co. / Optimus Soda Fountains / and Store Fixtures / Purity Brand / Crushed Fruit / Fountain S[yrup] / []ale drugs · Importers & Manufacturers".
