Summary
[edit]DescriptionSeattle - Cascade People's Center 01.jpg | Cascade People's Center, Seattle, Washington. In the background at left is Immanuel Lutheran Church (on the National Register of Historic Places, ID #82004239). Cascade is the historic name of part of what has come more recently to be referred to as South Lake Union. The use of "Cascade" in the Center's name is presumably an effort to connect to the historic working class character of the now gentrifying neighborhood (and of the people the Center attempts to serve). |
