Summary

[edit]
Description
English: I believe these are the last two old commercial buildings left of what was once a thriving harborside business district on the Elliott Bay side of West Seattle, Seattle, Washington. Originally known as Railroad Avenue, this was close to where the ferry slip to downtown Seattle was once located. The building on the left was most recently a Thai restaurant; the one on the right is the Alki Tavern; originally 2-stories tall, it was built as a saloon by Charles Dietz in the early 1900s and was the first brick commercial building in West Seattle. They were both razed in 2017 for a massive apartment complex.
