| Description |
English: Seaton 2nd railway station (site), County Durham Opened in the 1870s by the North Eastern Railway on its line from Sunderland to Durham and Stockton, this station replaced an earlier one some 800m south of here. In turn, this station closed to passengers in 1952. View north east towards Ryhope and Sunderland from the former level crossing. There were two platforms, with the main station building being to the right of the image. No trace apparently survives, the track-bed now being a public footpath. |
