English: Seated old man. Marble, Roman copy of the 2nd century CE after a Hellenistic original, maybe the 3rd-century BC statue of Chrysippus by Euboulides described by Pliny (34.88). Used to be completed by a head of Aristoteles (Ma 80 bis). From Italy.
Français : Vieillard assis. Marbre, copie romaine du IIe siècle d'après un original hellénistique, peut-être la statue de Chrysippe par Euboulides décrite par Pline (XXXIV, 88). Autrefois complété par une tête d'Aristote (Ma 80 bis). Provenance : Italie.
