Description
English: Seat and hedge, Crowtrees Lane, Rastrick.
  • The verge between the old and new carriageways of Crowtrees Lane has been landscaped like a park, with a couple of benches with cast-iron supports. This one has a short length of hawthorn hedge behind it and although it would be nice to think that it is a relic of an old field boundary there is more likely to have been a wall here as the verge was in the grounds of a big house called Crow Trees. The row of houses behind was built in the grounds of another old house, still existing, called Crow Trees House.
