Seal Matris: Half: Flower
Description
English: A half of a copper alloy, circular seal matrix, back plain with large rectangular pierced lug in centre. The matrix has been cut neatly in half broadly along the vertical axis; this piece contains the end and, at the top, much of the star that opens the legend. Device of a sexfoil, topmost "petal" set slightly left of vertical as defined by the opening cross of the legend. Each "petal" is an angular droplet shape, with four straight sides, two long, two short, the two shortest being furthest away from the centre of the flower. The lettering area is defined by a fine line above and below. Measurements: 26 mm diameter (approx.), lug 16 mm long, 5 mm high; weight 7 g.
