The bridge was build during colonial times to connect the districts of Quthing and Mohale's Hoek

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The bridge was manufactured in Worcester, England and erected at Commissioner drift, over Caledon River in 1882, having been brought up from the coast on ox wagon and re-erected in Seaka with the help of a grant from the United Kingdom Colonial Development and Welfare Fund. It was officiated and opened on the 12th December 1959. Completion of construction and opening of the Seaka Bridge reduced the distance in the journey between Mohale’s Hoek and Moyeni towns by 52 miles.
