Description	A Royal Navy De Havilland Sea Vixen FAW.1 from 890 Naval Air Squadron makes a touch-and-go landing aboard the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Essex (CVS-9). 890 NAS was assigned to the aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal (R09). USS Essex, with assigned Carrier Anti-Submarine Air Group 60 (CVSG-60), was deployed to the Mediterranean Sea and the Indian Ocean from 1 October to 20 December 1963. Both carriers took part in the "Midlink VI" exercise, a naval exercise with ships from Pakistan and Iran in November 1963.
