English: Sea Front Path, Robin Hood's Bay This path winds its way down below the cottages and above the sea wall, which in turn was built as a defence against the erosive power of the sea. the path follows to some extent the route of the old road into the bay, which was lost, along with many cottages, to a landslip. |
