Esquisse pour le morceau de réception à l'Académie royale de peinture et de sculpture, le 26 avril 1681, réalisé en marbre et conservé au Louvre. Le cyclope Polyphème est désespéré de ne pas être aimé de la nymphe Galatée, qu'il finira par tuer ainsi que son amant le berger Acis.
