Description
English: On the left, Frank Roper is using a soldering iron to model a figure he has created from a block of polystyrene. On the right, the sculpture is buried in sand and Roper is pouring aluminium into a ‘sprue’. The polystyrene will evaporate, leaving an aluminium casting.
