Description
English: Screenshot of my (I am Yulia Romero) Ukrainian mobile phone after trying to access the Russian social network website VK (also known as VKontakte) in Kyiv, Ukraine on 2 June 2017. The message was telling me : "Access to this resource is locked by the Decree of the President of Ukraine №133 / 2017 On the decision of the National Security and Defense of Ukraine of 28 April 2017 "On special economic use of personal and other restrictive measures (sanctions)." In May 2017, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko had signed a decree to impose a ban on Mail.ru and its widely used social networks including VKontakte and Odnoklassniki as part of its continued sanctions on Russia for its annexation of Crimea and involvement in the war in Donbas.
