Description
English: Scout Moor Quarry (1). Situatated high above Turn village is Scout Moor Quarry.

The quarry has existed for many years and minerals were transported via a mineral railway and dismantled tramway until the 1950's. Today the quarry is operated by Marshalls and covers an area of 102 hectares. See also 423574 The compound on the right is the construction base for the Scout Moor wind farm project.
