English: Scottish Vintage Bus Museum Open Day 2007 The bus museum has come about as a result of the efforts of amateur bus enthusiasts who over many years have enthusiastically preserved or restored buses in their own time. It occupies a former stores depot that supplied the Rosyth Naval Base, a few miles south of the site. With the end of the Cold War and as part of the so-called "peace dividend", the Ministry of Defence sold off the site which is now leased out to the museum and various small business units. http://www.busweb.co.uk/svbm/home.htm |
