BREMERTON, Wash. (July 19, 2017) Ship's Serviceman Seaman Stephanie Santana, from Hialeah, Fla., gives Capt. Scott Miller, executive officer of the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), the first hair cut in the ship’s newly remodeled barber shop since the beginning of the ship’s planned incremental availability (PIA). Services such as the barber shop, coffee shop, ship’s store and galleys are returning for crew use for the first time since closing at the beginning of PIA. John C. Stennis is conducting a PIA at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, during which the ship is undergoing scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
