Description
English: Scleroderma citrinum fungus on a rotting tree stump, Salisbury Trench Inclosure, New Forest In this corner of the Salisbury Trench Inclosure old tree stump from fellings some years ago are surrounded by a dense growth of young conifers. The rotting wood of the old oak stumps is home to various lichens and fungi. This appears to be a common earthball (Scleroderma citrinum), growing in an unusually elevated position.
