Description
Deutsch: Jusiberg, abgetragener Rest des zweitgrößtem Vulkans aus der Reihe "Schwäbischer Vulkan". Der Berg liegt als Pseudo-Zeugenberg vor dem Albtrauf.

Der Vulkan gehört zu den 355 Fundstellen des „Urach-Kirchheimer Vulkangebiets“, welches im Miozän (17-11 Ma) aktiv war. Nahezu alle Vulkane waren vom "phreatomagmatischen Eruptionstyp". Sie entwickelten Maare, die aber alle ausflossen, oder austrockneten und erodierten. Während im Albvorland und Albtälern der Schwäbische Vulkan. Härtlinge (Erhöhungen) bildete, sind auf dem Albplateau häufig Mulden ausgebildet.

Der Berg gehört zum Naturschutzgebiet „Jusi – Auf dem Berg“. Aus der Würdigung der Schutzregelung von 1992: „Seine besondere geologische Ausstattung ,seine kulturhistorische Bedeutung, die hohe Wertigkeit als Lebensraum für zahlreiche, zum Teil stark gefährdete, Pflanzen und Tiere“.

English: Jusi, eroded rest of the second largest volcano of 355 volcanoes of the „Urach-Kirchheimer Vulkangebiet“, also known as the "Swabian volcano" (wikipedia in German). These volcanoes were active only in Miocene; almost all of them are of the type phreatomagmatic eruption. But the Maars, which filled with water, have long ago dried out and eroded. In the landscape of the Middle Swabian Alb and its foreland the morphology is either full of small depressions of the Swabian plateau, all of them remnants of volcanic diatremes, or – in the foreland - heavely eroded buttes, where rests of the eroded White Jurassic and scree often covers the volcanic piperests.
The mountain is a nature reserve.
