Students of ''Schule am Meer'', Juist, Free State of Prussia

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Students of progressive boarding school Schule am Meer rowing in two boats in the Wadden Sea south of the island of Juist. Walter Georg Kühne (1911–1991) dominates the rear of the boat in the background. Hubert Kelter (1909–1999) sits on the bow (right) of the rear boat, dressed in dark and wearing a black beret like Kühne. On the picture's horizon on the right the elevated route of the island's train tracks can be recognized, whose ferry dock (further to the right and out of this picture) was almost exactly south of S.a.M. From there, the railway line gradually led in a north-easterly direction (left rear), describing an arc until the island's small train station was reached.
