DescriptionSchrage-umformer.svg	Deutsch: Schrage-Motor, siehe de:Frequenzumformer Die Statorwicklungen (rot, grün, blau) sind über Kohlebürsten (braun, orange) mit dem Kommutator und somit mit der Rotorwicklung verbunden. Der Rotor besitzt zwei Wicklungen, eine Steuerwicklung (grau) und die Erregerwicklungen (trükis, gelb, lila). Die Steuerwicklung ist Abschnittweise an den Kommutator angeschlossen. Die Bürsten lassen sich in beide Richtungen bewegen. Die Erregerwicklung wird über Schleifringe mit dem Netz verbunden. Die Konstruktion bildet einen Motor mit variabler Drehzahl. Mit einem daran angeschlossener Generator einsteht ein Frequenzumformer mit verstellbarer Ausgangsfrequenz.
