Summary
[edit]DescriptionSchooner Dagmar-1.jpg |
English: Robert W. Inman's schooner Dagmar (previously Titania, Edward Burgess design, 1887), built as a sloop at the George Lawley & Son shipyard, MA. She was redesigned in 1893 by William Gardner: she was changed to a more versatile schooner rig and her hollow straight stem was modified into a fuller modern spoon bow, increasing her total overhangs by 14 ft. She is pictured on the day of the Newport to Cottage City leg of the New York Yacht Club annual cruise, August 11th, 1894, where she placed third in her class.
