Description
English: Larchmont Yacht Club Commodore Clarence Ashley Postley's schooner Colonia (designed and built as a sloop in 1893 by Herreshoff to be a candidate in the 1893 America's Cup) rerigged as a schooner under the supervision of Archibald Cary Smith, who fitted her with a centerboard. She is pictured here in a regatta the Larchmont racing week, where she placed third on corrected time in the fleet rankings, but beat her main opponent Ariel in the match race ranking.
