ally designed for an air velocity ofsix to eight hundred feet per minute, with agreater velocity in the horizontal supply flues.A flue 2l/2 feet square, 12 feet long with 30 percent, difference in temperature, will discharge250 cubic feet of air per minute. Fresh Air Supply.—Great care must betaken to secure for every school building thebest possible air. For this reason air must al-ways come directly from the outside through asupply which ought never begin at the ground. The fresh air supply pipe ought to be run upthe side of the building about twelve feet.
