Every story above the first story of abuilding used as a schoolhouse, orphan asylum,reformatory, opera house, hall for public assem-blies, boarding house accommodating more thantwelve persons, or tenement house occupied bymore than five families, shall be provided withmore than one way of egress, by stairways on theinside or fire escapes on the outside of such build-ing.
