Description
Deutsch: Im Jahre 1183 stiftete Pfalzgraf Rudolf I von Tübingen zum Zwecke seines Seelenheils das Kloster in der Ortschaft Bebenhausen.

Anfänglich befand sich das Kloster in den Händen der Prämonstratenser (Candidus et Canonicus Ordo Praemonstratensis), Chorherren des größten römisch-katholischen Ordens. Ab Ende des 12. Jahrhunderts übernahmen dann Zisterziensermönche das Kloster. Ab dem 19. Jahrhundert dann nutzten württembergische Landesherren das Kloster als Jagdschloss. Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde in der Schloss- und Klosteranlage die neue Landesverfassung des Landes Württemberg-Hohenzollern verfasst. Schloss und Kloster Bebenhausen liegen im Schönbuch, einem vollständig bewaldeten Naherholungsgebiet süd-westlich Stuttgarts.

Bebenhausen ist der kleinste Ortsteil Tübingens.
English: In 1183, Count Palatine Rudolf I of Tübingen donated for the purpose his salvation, the monastery in the village of Bebenhausen.

Initially the monastery were in the hands of the Premonstratensian (Candidus et Canonicus Ordo Praemonstratensis), Canons of the largest Roman Catholic order. From the end of the twelfth century then Cistercian monks were living in the monastery. From the nineteenth century, then took advantage of Württemberg sovereigns monastery as a hunting lodge. After the Second World War the new constitution of the state of Württemberg-Hohenzollern was written in the monastery. Castle and Bebenhausen lie in Schönbuch a fully wooded recreation area south-west of Stuttgart.

Bebenhausen is the smallest district of Tübingen.
