Deutsch: Schloss Pillnitz: Blick auf das 1723/24 erbaute Wasserpalais. August der Starke ließ Schloss Pillnitz ab 1720 im barocken Stil um- und ausbauen, nachdem er die Baumaßnahmen bereits 1718 geplant hatte. Die Pläne für den Umbau entwickelten Matthäus Daniel Pöppelmann und Zacharias Longuelune. Das Bergpalais entstand als Spiegelbild des bereits 1720/21 fertiggestellten Wasserpalais. Die Dächer und Gesimse des Palais vermitteln einen chinesischen Eindruck. Die Verwendung solcher ostasiatischer und orientalischer Elemente, sog. Chinoiserien, erfreute sich in der Barockzeit einer hohen Beliebtheit. |
