Description Ansicht von Schloss Kettenburg bei Visselhövede (Lüneburger Heide), Blick auf Schloss und Teich. Das Schloss wurde 1875 bis 1878 von der Familie von der Kettenburg erbaut. Das Schloss mit angebauter Kapelle diente als Ersatz für eine Burg aus dem 15. Jahrhundert (die auf einer noch älteren Burgstelle errichtet war), die im 18. Jh. bereits verfallen war. Das Schloss und die Kapelle wiederum waren um 1955 so verfallen und mit Schwamm befallen, dass sie 1960 abgerissen wurden. [1]
