This is a photograph of an architectural monument.
It is on the list of cultural monuments of Glückstadt, no. 3016. Glückstadt (Schleswig-Holstein) – Am Hafen 46 – Adelspalais "Quasi non Possidentes" – Baujahr: 1630/31 – Das Haus wurde 1630–31 im Renaissance-Stil erbaut und 1697 im barocken Stil überformt. Es ist ein zweigeschossiger Putzbau von acht Achsen mit Kolossalpilastergliederung und Walmdach. – Das Sandsteinportal trägt einen mit Akanthus und Blüten gezierten Aufsatz mit einem durch Initiale und Jahreszahl geschmückten Ovalfeld. Ein Schriftzug über der Tür lautet: Quasi non Possidentes was übersetzt bedeutet: Als ob wir nicht die Besitzenden wären. – Im Inneren sind die historische Raumstruktur und baufeste Ausstattung erhalten. – Das Gebäude diente von 1700 bis 1752 als Sitz der Regierungskanzlei. Danach bewohnten das Haus hohe Vertreter von Regierung und Gerichtsbarkeit, nach Ende von Glückstadts Zugehörigkeit zu Dänemark (1867) wohlhabende Kaufleute und Unternehmer. 1986 wurde es restauriert wobei der Portalaufsatz erneuert wurde. Das Original befindet sich seitdem im Detlefsenmuseum. Seit 2000 beherbergt das Palais die Ausstellungsräume des Glückstädter Kunstvereins und trägt den Namen Palais für aktuelle Kunst (Stand 2023). |
