Description
Deutsch: Scheibentriode (Sowjetunion, ca. 1978), vermutlich für UKW-Bordfunk
English: Small high frequency triode vacuum tube (Soviet Union, ca. 1978) for use at UHF frequencies, probably from FM radio board. This design, sometimes called a "lighthouse tube", is used to reduce inductance and capacitance of leads to electrodes in order to prevent instability and parasitic oscillations which limit the frequency of ordinary vacuum tubes. Terminology:
  • Kathode - cathode
  • Heizung - heater (filament)
  • Steuergitter - control grid
  • Anode - plate
