| Description |
Deutsch: Innenansicht der röm.-kath. Pfarrkirche hl. Laurenz in der oberösterreichischen Gemeinde Schardenberg. Die Kirche mit 600 Sitzplätzen wurde ab 1908 nach den Plänen des Dombaumeisters Matthäus Schlager erbaut und am 9. August 1910 von Bischof Rudolf Hittmayr eingeweiht. Der barocke Turm aus dem Jahr 1741 stammt noch von der Vorgängerkirche. Die Einrichtung wie Hochaltar und Seitenaltäre sind vorwiegend Werke des Ottensheimer Bildhauers Simon Rabeder (1862–1941) bzw. wurden nach seinen Entwürfen gefertigt und stammen aus der Zeit von 1910 bis 1915. Die Fresken im Innenraum stammen von Engelbert Daringer (1882–1966) aus Wildenau (Gemeinde Aspach) und entstanden zwischen 1920 und 1922. |
