Description
Deutsch: Der Silberbach, ein Forellengewässer dank guter Gewässerreinhaltung nach der Wiedervereinigung Deutschlands. Der Silberbach ist der längste der durch die südlich von Schönheide liegenden Wälder fließenden Bäche: Seine beiden Zuflüsse entspringen im Wald in etwa 725 m Höhe östlich des 767 m hohen Laubberges (auf Schönheider Gemeindegebiet östlich von Schnarrtanne). Nach etwa einem Kilometer östlicher Fließrichtung vereinigen sich die beiden Quellbäche und fließen durch den Wald nach Süden. In 651 m Höhe durchquert der Silberbach den Schönheider Stausee und fließt östlich des ehemaligen Fachkrankenhauses Carolagrün durch ein Wiesental, um den Rest seines Laufes in süd-östlicher Richtung ausschließlich durch Wald der Zwickauer Mulde zuzustreben, wo er gleich am Ortsausgang nördlich von Wilzschhaus in 585 m Höhe mündet. Bis auf ein kurzes Stück im Wiesental bei Carolagrün verläuft der Silberbach nur auf Schönheider Gebiet. Auf dem Wegweiser steht die Abkürzung EB für den europäischen Fernwanderweg Eisenach – Budapest.
