| Description |
Deutsch: Die frühere Schule - bis 1898 -, Hauptstraße 51, wurde von der Gemeinde Schönheide nach Bezug der neuen Schule verkauft und wird seitdem als Wohnhaus genutzt. Ab den 1910er Jahren war auch ein Kino untergebracht. Noch bis um die Jahrtausendwende stand außen in Jugendstilschrift "Lichtspielhaus". Heute beherbergt das Haus neben Wohnungen die Christengemeinde Elim. Der Komponist Karl Emanuel Klitzsch (Künstlername Emanuel Kronach) wurde 1812 in einem Vorgängerbau dieses Hauses geboren. Die an ihn erinnernde Gedenktafel mit seinem Portrait als Halbrelief wurde bei einer Renovierung in den 2000er Jahren entfernt. Sie ist jetzt im Schönheider Bürsten- und Heimatmuseums ausgestellt. |
