Description
English: Ceremonial scarf- double Ikat cloth, loosely woven handspun cotton in natural, red and indigo dyes. Motifs of rather geometric plant forms, diamonds etc. Ends of cloth have star forms, diamonds and red rosettes on black ground. From a Tenganan Villages. Used in Balinese rites of passage, the scarves can take up to five years to make. This is a good example.
