English: Scarborough Harbour
The photograph shows the quay along Sandside (to the right) with the cranes of the goods quay https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1728736 ahead. The painted structures on stilts are the backs of shellfish stalls. The netted baskets are lobster/crab pots. In the late 60's I dabbled with a number of different makes of slide film before settling on Kodachrome. This one was a Boots own brand that you had to mount into your own frames, hence no actual processing date. The date given for the year taken is, by my recollection, the latest possible processing date. However, it could have been at any time during 1965 to 1969. |
