This photo is in an album my spouse's uncle Elstner Hilton compiled when he lived in Japan from 1914 to 1918. While most of the photos were taken in Japan, some were not. This photo is one example. I believe Uncle Elstner took this photo when he visited a Korean sawmill. The men appear to be wearing something over their heads, but the resolution isn't good enough for me to be certain of this. |
