Summary
[edit]This sketch of the en:Savoy Palace in en:London, en:England appeared in The Town: Its Memorable Characters and Events. St Paul's to St James's (1848) by en:James Henry Leigh Hunt (1784?1859). As the palace was destroyed in the 14th century it was presumably based on earlier sources.
It was engraved by Charles Thurston Thompson; the book's illustrations are based on drawings by Thompson and John Wykeham Archer; online reference.
