Description
English: The former Savoy Hotel at 529 North Tower Avenue in Centralia, Washington, Built in 1924. Designed by Seattle architects Stuart & Wheatley for Chehalis merchant Ted Behrend, who died shortly after the building's completion. Stuart & Wheatley were concurrently designing a commercial building in Chehalis for J.D. Rice, which is now part of that city's historic district. Both buildings share the firms' trademark style of multi-stepped pediments with numerous belt courses and inlaid brick patterns.
