English: Algirdas Savickis (10 September 1917 in Copenhagen – 1 October 1943 in the Kovno Ghetto in German-occupied Lithuania) was a Lithuanian painter, the oldest son of the Lithuanian diplomat and writer Jurgis Savickis (1890–1952) and Ida Trakiner-Savickienė (1894–1944), a dentist whose (Jewish) family was settled in Saint Petersburg where she owned a glass factory. Algirdas Savickis was shot by a Lithuanian guard of the ghetto when he tried to protect his young wife.

Oktober 1943 im Ghetto Kauen) war ein litauischer Maler, der älteste Sohn des litauischen Diplomaten und Autors Jurgis Savickis (1890–1952) und dessen Ehefrau Ida Trakiner-Savickienė (1894–1944), einer Zahnärztin, deren jüdische Familie in Sankt Petersburg ansässig war und dort eine Glasfabrik besaß. Algirdas Savickis wurde durch einen litauischen Wachtposten erschossen, als er versuchte, seine junge Ehefrau vor einem Übergriff dieses Wachtpostens zu schützen. |
