Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Two brown ovals, at right, some 10,000 kilometers (6,000 miles) across, were found at approximately 40` and 60` latitude in Saturn's northern hemisphere by Voyager 1. The photo was taken on November 7, 1980, from a range of 7,500,000 kilometers (4,600,000 miles). The polar oval (upper right) has a structure similar to the Saturn red spot located in the southern polar latitudes. The Voyager Project is managed by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory for NASA.
