Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Diversion weir in Middle Loup River just below Sargent Bridge south of Sargent, Nebraska. This weir extends from the south bank to a small island in midchannel; to the right of the footbridge across the weir, a set of wooden headgates allow water to be admitted to an irrigation canal. The modern bridge carrying U.S. Highway 183 across the river can be seen in the background.
